Business Development Manager

Job Overview


  • You will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing key partnerships that align with our business objectives and drive revenue growth. 
  • This includes our bank partners, processors and the network among others. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and implementing strategic partnerships with financial institutions, technology providers, and other key players in the fintech ecosystem.  
  • You will be working with CXO level stakeholders. 
  • With your base as US, your role comes with international travel to support our geographical expansion plans (Canada, UK, Australia etc.).
  • The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the financial industry, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of building and managing successful partnerships.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or a related role. Experience working in the fintech industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of the fintech landscape, financial products, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment


Responsibilities


  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration and success. Act as the main point of contact for partner enquiries and escalations
  • Partnership Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and growth objectives.
  • Identification and Outreach: Identify and evaluate potential partners in the fintech industry, including financial institutions, technology providers, and other relevant stakeholders. Initiate and lead outreach efforts to establish productive relationships.
  • Negotiation, Contracting and Program Launch: Lead negotiations with potential partners to create mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with legal and other relevant teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership contracts. Being the Single point of contact end and driving project plan for an epic program launch with partners.
  • Program Management: Collaborate with partners to setup a launch plan for successful program launches. Work collaboratively with internal teams to track progress, identify and mitigate risks, and drive successful program outcomes using a project plan  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless integration and execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Use this information to identify new opportunities and potential threats to existing partnerships.
